Acceptable Use Policy

Version 2.0 — app launch Effective: 26 August 2026 Applies to: all Fortress products & services

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out the lawful use of Fortress Freedom Phone Ltd's devices, Freedom Fone accounts, telephone numbers, calling, messaging, forwarding and broadcast features. By creating an account, placing an order or using a service, you agree to this policy.

1. Intended use

Fortress supplies hardened mobile devices and internet-based calling and messaging tools for lawful personal and business communications, including:

2. Prohibited use

The following uses are strictly prohibited. We will refuse to sell, suspend service, or terminate accounts where any of the following are reasonably suspected:

3. Your responsibilities

Normal Freedom Fone signup does not require a government identity document, selfie or proof of address. We may leave a country or number type unavailable if its carrier or legal requirements are incompatible with the standard service.

4. Termination & suspension

We may suspend or terminate any service immediately, with or without notice, where:

On termination for breach, consumed usage and irrecoverable carrier periods are not refundable unless mandatory law requires otherwise. Any unused future service is handled under our Cancellation and Refund Policy and applicable law. A handset purchased outright remains the customer's property unless a valid legal order says otherwise.

Where it is safe and lawful, we will identify the affected feature or general reason for a restriction and provide a support route. Carrier filtering and upstream suspension can sometimes occur before Fortress receives a detailed reason. We do not promise that prohibited or unsafe traffic will be restored.

5. Cooperation with lawful authorities

Fortress Freedom Phone Ltd is a UK-registered limited company and complies with valid legal process in the United Kingdom, including but not limited to court orders, production orders, preservation requests, and obligations under the Investigatory Powers Act 2016 and the Data Protection Act 2018. We will produce information lawfully required of us, limited by what we hold under our data-minimisation practices.

6. Reporting abuse

If you believe a Fortress number or service is being used in breach of this AUP — for example to harass you, defraud you, or threaten you — please contact us immediately by email or Telegram. We treat abuse reports as urgent and will investigate promptly.

If the matter is criminal, also contact the appropriate authority (Action Fraud, the police, the relevant regulator). We will cooperate with any lawful investigation that follows.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to active customers by email at the address held on file. Continued use of the service after a material change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

8. Contact & jurisdiction

Fortress Freedom Phone Ltd is registered in England & Wales (Companies House No. 17168647). This policy and any dispute relating to it are governed by the laws of England & Wales, and the courts of England & Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
